And there is the financial cost - you'll have to pay for the medical forms (and any X-rays or other tests required). Your training will be covered within your first years club fees (although you may have to pay fees to CFT for log book etc.

The big cost will be towards your equipment - don't skimp on this, get the best quality you can afford, club members will be happy to give you guidance.
